Minister for National Development Mr Lawrence Wong will visit Beijing and Tianjin, People’s Republic of China (PRC), from 27 to 29 September 2018.

Mr Wong will be in the Sino-Singapore Tianjin Eco-city to commemorate its 10th anniversary. He will also meet Chinese leaders in Beijing and Tianjin to discuss Singapore and China’s cooperation on the Eco-city project and in other areas.

Separately, Mr Wong will be co-chairing the 8th Singapore-Tianjin Economic and Trade Council (STETC) Meeting with Tianjin Mayor Mr Zhang Guoqing. The meeting will discuss future areas of economic collaboration between Singapore and Tianjin in sustainable development, trade connectivity and innovation. 

Mr Wong is also leading a delegation comprising Singapore business leaders across various sectors such as built environment, logistics, innovation and professional services, to explore business opportunities in Tianjin.

Mr Wong will be accompanied by Ms Sun Xueling, Senior Parliamentary Secretary, Ministry of Home Affairs and National Development, and officials from the Ministry of National Development, Enterprise Singapore, as well as other government agencies involved in the Eco-city project.
