Perennial Living, Singapore’s first private assisted living development, has commenced operations, healthcare and real estate company Perennial Holdings said in an Aug 18 announcement. Located at 28 Parry Avenue, the facility spans 195,000 sq ft.

Phase 1 of operations will see residents moving into the project’s 200 assisted living apartments.

Perennial Wellness Centre, which offers a range of medical care, rehabilitation therapies and traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) services, will also commence operations, alongside dining services and other amenities.

In addition, bookings for the development’s 100-bed nursing suites — which offer respite care with a minimum three-day stay — are now open, with operations expected to commence in 4Q2026 under Phase 2.

Assisted living apartments come in four layouts, ranging from studios to two-bedroom suites measuring between 302 and 569 sq ft. For the nursing suites, residents can choose between one- and two-bedroom layouts ranging from 212 to 372 sq ft.

The development also has purpose-built “memory care” living spaces in two dedicated assisted living blocks and the nursing suites, designed for residents with dementia and Alzheimer’s.

Rates for the assisted living apartments start from around $8,000 per month for the basic occupation package, which includes accommodation, housekeeping and linen service, core meals, usage of the development’s amenities, and access to social and wellness activities and programming.

For the nursing suites, the basic package starts from around $7,600 per month. Nursing suites also include 24/7 nursing support, assistance with daily living activities, medication and treatment administration, medical doctor reviews and rehabilitation therapy.

Residents will have access twice a month to either Western medical practitioners, rehab therapists, or TCM physicians at the Perennial Wellness Centre for consultation and treatment.

Other services include an annual health screening, preventive health and vitality treatments, including the use of the centre’s GymTonic strength training equipment. Monitoring devices for health vitals are available.

Perennial Holdings said the wellness centre at the development is the first of its kind to combine a Western medical centre with general practitioners (GPs), family medicine physicians and specialists, an imaging centre with X-ray and ultrasound services, a hospital-grade rehab and fitness centre, and a TCM centre with a wide range of treatments.

The rehab and fitness centre, in particular, houses an extensive range of specialised robotic and conventional equipment comparable to a hospital setting, exercise equipment focused on mobility, core and strength, as well as Singapore's first private GymTonic studio.

With an allied health team comprising physiotherapy, occupational and speech therapists, this rehab and fitness centre can support residents and the community for prehab before surgery, post-surgical rehab, as well as cardiopulmonary, neurological, oncology, musculoskeletal and geriatric rehab.

The development also has a hydrotherapy pool, which the company said is Singapore's largest in a private residential care setting, to support the seniors' rehab needs.

All residents staying at the assisted living apartments and nursing suites will receive personalised care and are supported by a multidisciplinary panel of medical specialists at their doorstep at the wellness centre, including a cardiologist, urologist, rehab medicine doctor, and pain management doctor.

They cover the spectrum of common age-related health concerns, such as chronic diseases management for conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, high cholesterol, as well as frailty prevention, sarcopenia, sleep apnoea, dysphagia, and dementia.

For those who require memory-care support, such as dementia care, there is a purpose-built garden and therapy rooms to provide non-drug intervention therapies.

Residents can also call on a personal concierge to help carry out daily errands, along with a medical concierge who can help arrange for specialist consultations and provide medical chaperoning and grooming services.

Facilities at Perennial Living include a 38,000 sq ft of sky terraces, swimming pool, karaoke lounge-cum-movie theatre, mahjong room, and multi-purpose hall for arts and crafts, games and other activities.

The development opens directly into an adjoining 1.5ha therapeutic park, which will include a mobility garden for outdoor rehabilitation, senior-friendly fitness stations, a dog run and a pet therapy zone.
