Five construction tech startups to showcase AI solutions at Apac pitch day in Singapore
The solutions’ potential time, accuracy and carbon savings signal growing construction-sector automation, which could improve project delivery efficiency and potentially reduce development costs.
Five AI-focused construction technology startups, selected from 243 applicants, will pitch at Singapore’s inaugural Apac Pitch Day on Sept 2.

Five finalists have been selected to participate in the Asia Pacific (Apac) Pitch Day of the Construction Startup Competition (CSC), now in its 10th global edition.
Singapore is hosting the inaugural regional pitch day at the ConTech Summit 2026 on Sept 2, as part of the International Built Environment Week.
All the shortlisted construction technology (‘contech’) startups offer AI-focused solutions — an area that 67% of global investors identified as their leading investment priority this year, according to CSC organiser Zacua Ventures’ ConTech Investor Survey 2026.

The five innovators are Civils.AI, Arbel AI, Concrete AI, Lightyx and Bton.io, with solutions spanning preconstruction tech, jobsite productivity and climate tech.
Civils.AI focuses on improving decision-making before construction begins. Its AI co-pilot helps civil engineers extract and cross-check data from drawings, contracts, and geotechnical reports.
This can cut takeoff time — the process of quantifying materials required for a construction project from drawings — by up to 90%.
On the jobsite, Arbel AI turns drone footage into searchable, conversational site intelligence. This enables owners and engineering, procurement and construction teams track actual construction progress against plans, including quality and safety, without manual reporting required.
As a result, it aims to improve engineering workflows and speed up decision-making, to help construction professionals work more quickly and efficiently through intelligent automation.
Concrete AI uses Internet of Things (IoT) sensors to track in-situ concrete strength and temperature in real time. The technology can cut casting-cycle waiting times by over 30% while reducing reliance on cube testing.

This can help construction teams optimise quality, performance, and project execution.
Meanwhile, Lightyx uses a laser-projection system to put building information modelling, or BIM, plans directly onto floors, walls and ceilings at sub-2mm accuracy — replacing chalk lines and tape measures used by layout crews.
Its solution is intended to improve accuracy, streamline execution, and reduce inefficiencies during project delivery.
Climate-tech startup and precast producer Bton.io has created a patented low-clinker mix technology that cuts concrete’s carbon dioxide footprint by up to 70%. It has carbon-sinking additives, which make it climate-positive.
Selected from 243 applicants, the five finalists will vie for the Gold Medallist cash prize, access to a network of venture capital and industry stakeholders, and a place among CSC's top 30 global entries, when they take the stage on Sept 2 at the Apac Pitch Day.
CSC, the world’s largest competition for construction startups, spotlights innovative solutions for built-environment firms.
It is organised by Cemex Ventures, Caterpillar, Dysruptek by Haskell, Ferrovial, Hilti, Vinci Group’s Leonard, Nova by Saint-Gobain, Trimble, Zacua Ventures, and Singapore’s Building and Construction Authority.
