JLL appoints Mikhail Jaura as Apac head of data centre research
The appointment signals growing institutional focus on Apac data centres as AI and hyperscale cloud demand could attract further infrastructure investment across the region.
JLL appointed Mikhail Jaura as its Hong Kong-based head of data centre research for Asia Pacific amid a US$3 trillion global infrastructure investment supercycle.

JLL has announced the appointment of Mikhail Jaura as head of data centre research for Asia Pacific (Apac). The role is based in Hong Kong.
His appointment comes as the region continues to attract significant investment in data centre infrastructure, said Andrew Batson, global head of data centre research and strategy at JLL.
According to the firm, the global data centre sector is experiencing an unprecedented US$3 trillion ($3.8 trillion) infrastructure investment “supercycle”, driven by AI and hyperscale cloud services.

Jaura joins JLL from global technology intelligence firm International Data Corporation (IDC), where he served as senior research analyst for its Apac data centre research practice.
During his time at IDC, Jaura was responsible for consulting, recurring advisory services and regional business development.
He also launched IDC's Worldwide Semi-annual Datacenter Facilities Tracker, which measures capacity, emissions and non-IT capital expenditure across global hyperscale, colocation and enterprise footprints.
