Meet, network and unwind — all on one level at Momentus Hotel Alexandra
The growth signals stronger demand for flexible city-fringe event venues and could support greater commercial use of the hotel’s integrated meeting, dining and leisure spaces.
Momentus Hotel Alexandra recorded at least 20% year-on-year growth in corporate and MICE events, with customised packages representing about 10% of enquiries.

Body
In large convention venues or hotel complexes, the corporate event experience can quickly become a logistical exercise: delegates finding their way from room to room or floor to floor, organisers managing movement between sessions, and valuable time being lost along the way. When a group keeps relocating, the momentum of an event can dissipate too.
At Momentus Hotel Alexandra, the appeal lies in simplifying that movement. The hotel brings meeting rooms, dining venues, outdoor areas and leisure amenities into one connected setting, centred on its Level 7 Lifestyle Deck.
Organisers can shift the programme easily between formal sessions, breakouts, receptions and networking without moving guests across different parts of a property.
That gives the hotel a distinctive proposition for corporate groups in neighbouring business hubs and educational institutions in the western region.
Momentus says the number of corporate and MICE events hosted at the hotel has grown by at least 20% y-o-y, while customised packages account for about 10% of overall MICE enquiries. The figures point to demand not just for meeting space, but also for programmes that can be tailored around different formats and experiences.
Flexible spaces for different event formats
The hotel’s indoor meeting spaces cater to groups of about 20 to 120 people, while its rooftop pool area can accommodate larger cocktail receptions.
That flexibility is most evident in how the hotel has adapted its venues for different corporate formats.
For a 300-guest evening reception, Momentus transformed its pool deck into a private reception venue. Guests gathered poolside before dinner was served across multiple connected spaces — the Verandah Pool Bar & Grill, Verandah Rooftop Rotisserie and the Vanda Room.
The seventh-floor setting also gave the evening event a stronger sense of occasion, with sunset views providing a natural backdrop for cocktails and networking.
For groups requiring more breakout rooms than the hotel’s meeting facilities can accommodate, Momentus has proposed extending activities into areas near the Pool Bar, the alfresco area and parts of the restaurant as alternative breakout spaces.
Other proposals have included a cocktail-in-the-pool experience built around the pool’s swim-up bar, turning a standard reception into a more memorable networking occasion.
Momentus is also exploring event concepts with regional and international organisations that make use of the entire Level 7, including cocktail receptions and networking dinners spanning its indoor and outdoor spaces.
The idea is to allow the setting to change with the programme — from formal discussions to breakout sessions, networking and dining — while keeping the group within the same connected area.
Customised programmes and menus
The flexibility extends beyond the physical spaces. Momentus is also incorporating dining, beverages and recreational activities into its corporate programmes, giving organisers more ways to build engagement around the formal agenda.
At Verandah Pool Bar & Grill, for example, its Garden to Glass Soda Pop Series and botanical cocktail programme provide beverage options that can make receptions, breaks or informal networking feel more considered.
The wider beverage selection also allows organisers to cater to different preferences, including attendees looking for non-alcoholic alternatives.
Wellness elements can likewise be incorporated into meetings and retreats. The hotel says healthier dining options, movement sessions and other wellness activities can be adapted from its leisure offerings for corporate groups.
Yet corporate demand has so far leaned more towards interactive experiences than dedicated wellness programmes. Momentus says enquiries have shown stronger interest in AI-driven and gaming-based team activities.
Together, these options support a more customised approach, allowing organisers to shape a programme around an event’s objectives rather than work within a fixed meeting or retreat format.
A city-fringe alternative
The hotel’s location adds another dimension to that strategy.
Momentus serves a mix of corporate travellers, MICE groups, leisure guests, and staycation visitors, and increasingly sees business and leisure travel converging.
It is also targeting two overlapping corporate markets: organisations in the surrounding business districts looking for a nearby venue for meetings and retreats, and regional groups choosing Singapore as a meeting point.
The hotel is close to commercial clusters including one-north, Alexandra Technopark and Mapletree Business City, and says it has hosted events and corporate programmes for multinational companies and tertiary institutions in the surrounding business and education community.
For companies based nearby, it offers the option of moving a meeting or retreat away from the everyday office environment without having to head into the traditional downtown hotel belt.
A meeting venue with more room to move
Singapore continues to attract regional corporate meetings because of its accessibility, connectivity and stability, according to Momentus. The hotel acknowledges, however, that pricing remains an important consideration, with some companies opting for more cost-effective MICE destinations elsewhere in Southeast Asia.
Against that backdrop, Momentus is positioning itself as a city-fringe corporate events venue that combines the functionality required for business gatherings with the atmosphere and amenities of a leisure hotel.
Its proposition ultimately comes back to event flow: a formal meeting can give way to an outdoor breakout, cocktails can move poolside, and dinner can become part of the networking programme — without repeatedly uprooting the group.
For Momentus Hotel Alexandra, that is the niche it is seeking to occupy: a corporate events venue where fewer logistical interruptions can help create a smoother programme and give delegates more opportunities to connect.
