Minister Desmond Lee to attend the 2nd ASEAN-China Ministerial Roundtable on Construction and Housing in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
Regional cooperation on technology, innovation and green construction could support knowledge-sharing that may improve future housing delivery and urban-development practices.
Minister Desmond Lee will attend the ASEAN-China construction and housing roundtable in Kuala Lumpur from 3 to 4 July 2024 to discuss sustainable development.

Minister for National Development and Minister-in-charge of Social Services Integration, Mr Desmond Lee, is attending the 2nd ASEAN-China Ministerial Roundtable on Construction and Housing in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from 3 to 4 July 2024.
The theme for this year’s Roundtable, organised by the Ministry of Housing and Local Government Malaysia, is “Building Sustainable Futures: Deepening ASEAN-China Cooperation in Housing and Urban Development for Prosperity”. It aims to strengthen cooperation amongst participants on housing and urban-rural development. Minister Lee will attend a Welcome Banquet and participate in a discussion on “Advancing Technology, Innovation, and Green Construction Towards Sustainability”.
In Kuala Lumpur, Minister Lee will tour ARCHIDEX, the 23rd International Architecture, Interior, Design & Building Exhibition 2024, Malaysia, on the sidelines of the Roundtable.
Minister Lee will also engage in bilateral meetings to reaffirm ties and explore opportunities for collaboration.
