Tuan Sing to open Opus Bay integrated resort in Batam this December
The resort’s scale and 45-minute ferry connection to Singapore signal developer confidence in cross-border tourism demand, potentially supporting Batam’s hospitality and waterfront retail segments.
Tuan Sing Holdings will begin opening Batam’s first integrated resort, Opus Bay, in phases from December, starting with its ferry terminal and 493-key Balmoral Tower hotel.

Singapore-listed developer Tuan Sing Holdings Limited will begin the phased opening of Opus Bay, the first integrated resort in Batam, Indonesia, from December.
The first phase includes Marina Bay Ferry Cove, the resort’s own ferry terminal, and Residence on Opus Bay. The latter comprises two properties: the 493-key Balmoral Tower hotel and Cluny Resorts, an ultra-luxury villa retreat scheduled to open in 2027.

Guests will be able to enjoy tourist attractions and amenities at Saung Budaya Batam, a living cultural house and traditional arts space; Puncak Beliung, a scenic hilltop eco-tourism destination; and Batam Hills Golf Resort. They are about a 10-minute drive from Opus Bay.
Retail options at Grand Batam Mall, Batam City Square and K-Square are also a 30- to 35-minute drive away.
