Six units at Nouvel 18, New Futura linked to money laundering case head to auction
The auction may test demand for prime freehold homes, potentially influencing buyer price expectations after four of 10 earlier forfeited apartments sold in September.
Six forfeited freehold luxury units will be auctioned on Oct 28, with five Nouvel 18 homes from $2,939 psf and a $9.8 million New Futura unit.

Four units at freehold development Nouvel 18 in District 10 and a four-bedder at New Futura along Leonie Hill Road will be going under the hammer at SRI’s upcoming auction on Oct 28.
The properties are among the assets forfeited in Singapore’s $3 billion money laundering case.
In late August, Deloitte Singapore said more than 1,000 luxury items, including jewellery, watches and handbags, as well as 80 real estate properties forfeited in Singapore’s $3 billion money laundering case, would be auctioned in phases between September 2026 and mid-2027.
Deloitte was appointed by the Singapore police last year to manage and realise the non-cash assets seized in connection to the money laundering case.

The latest properties come on the back of 10 apartments at Martin Modern and Wallich Residences that were put on the block in September. Four apartments — two from each development — were successfully sold at auction, with prices ranging from $2.08 million to $6.6 million.
Five luxury apartments at Nouvel 18 up for auction
The five residences at Nouvel 18 are priced from $2,939 psf to $3,558 psf. They comprise four unit types — two- and three-bedroom + study units, and three- and five-bedders — ranging from 1,335 to 6,125 sq ft.
Located in the exclusive Ardmore Park area, Nouvel 18 houses 156 units across two 36-storey residential blocks. It was completed in 2014 and includes facilities such as a swimming pool, BBQ clubhouse, gym, tennis court, and concierge service for its residents.
The freehold luxury development along Anderson Road is about a five-minute drive away from retail and lifestyle amenities at the Orchard Road shopping belt.
“With five units being offered at auction, buyers have multiple opportunities to secure a freehold residence within a development that offers privacy, comprehensive facilities and close proximity to Orchard Road,” said Mok Sze Sze, managing partner of SRI Auction.
Four-bedder at New Futura on the block
In District 9, the four-bedroom unit at New Futura spans 2,691 sq ft with a guide price of $9.8 million, or $3,642 psf.

Mok added that the home’s “generous layout” offers substantial living space for families seeking a home in Singapore’s established prime residential districts.
New Futura is a 124-unit freehold condominium completed in 2017. It is within a 10-minute walk of Somerset MRT Station, with a range of lifestyle, dining and retail amenities nearby at Great World and along Orchard Road at Cineleisure, 111 Somerset, and Ngee Ann City.
The auction for the units at Nouvel 18 and New Futura will take place at 2.30 pm on Oct 28 at SRI’s Great World office.
