Two-bedroom loft at Tanjong Pagar’s Icon heads to auction at $2.2 mil
The guide price, above its $1.92 million 2010 purchase price and broadly aligned with recent Icon sales, may support buyer interest in larger Tanjong Pagar units.
A 1,281 sq ft two-bedroom loft at Icon will debut at SRI’s Sept 23 auction with a $2.2 million guide price, or $1,717 psf.

A two-bedroom loft apartment at Icon — a 99-year leasehold condo in the Tanjong Pagar area — will go under the hammer at SRI’s auction on Sept 23. The 1,281 sq ft property will be offered via an owner’s sale with a guide price of $2.2 million, or $1,717 psf.
This is the first time the property is going up for auction, according to SRI. Caveats lodged show that the apartment was previously sold for $1.92 million ($1,500 psf) in February 2010.
Located on the 38th floor, the south-facing apartment enjoys sea views, says SRI.
The apartment spans two levels, with the lower level featuring a combined living and dining area, kitchen, a bedroom, bathroom and yard area. It also includes a study that is large enough to be used as an additional bedroom, the agency adds.

Completed in 2007, Icon is a 646-unit development along Gopeng Street in District 2. It consists of two towers atop a retail podium — known as Icon Village — with eateries, fitness studios and other amenities.
Residences at the development predominantly comprise one-bedders ranging from 560 to 904 sq ft. There are also two- and four-bedroom apartments ranging from 883 to 1,302 sq ft.
Icon is within a four- to nine- minute walk of several MRT stations, including Tanjong Pagar, Prince Edward and Maxwell MRT stations. Retail and dining options nearby include offerings at 100 AM, Tanjong Pagar Plaza and Guoco Tower, which are a one- to three-minute walk away.
Based on URA caveats, the most recent sale at Icon occurred on Aug 24. A 786 sq ft, one-bedroom apartment on the ninth floor fetched $1.32 million, or $1,678 psf.
Less than a fortnight earlier, two other one-bedders changed hands on Aug 12: a 700 sq ft apartment that was sold for $1.1 million ($1,572 psf), and a 657 sq ft apartment that fetched $1.16 million ($1,764 psf).
